How can we learn the Spanish language in 6 months?
Learning a language is not an easy task. There are efforts that you need to put in consistently. A new language comes with a lot of new words and vocabulary and a lot of grammar. You will have to learn the rules for speaking the correct pronunciation. All this is not an overnight thing. You have to put quality days into achieving your target. There is no shortcut and you cannot expect some magic to happen and the most important thing is that no two people are the same. Just because somebody has taken a short duration to learn the language it doesn’t mean that you will also be able to do the same. Every person is different, the effort that every person puts in is also different and the basic knowledge that one has also greatly affects the time duration that you take to learn a language.
Well, if you are planning to learn the Spanish language and if you follow the rules then you are likely to learn the language in six months but there are a lot of things that you need to put in in order to get the desired output. I present to you some tips that you can follow in order to reach your goal.
Plan: a perfect plan is what you need. You need to plan your six months ahead. When we talk about planning we definitely talk about resources. You should have all the resources already with you for the coming six months. You cannot afford to waste your time searching for notes or any part of the Spanish language. A complete list of websites, useful apps and common vocabulary and grammar is what should be ready in hand. A notebook and pen to note down the important details is also a must. This is your startup plan. You also need to add many more things to it as you go ahead with learning Spanish.
Set up a schedule: setting up a schedule does not mean that it just has to be on paper. You need to follow what you have planned. Be consistent in following your timetable no matter what. If you are ready to do this then only the tips that I write ahead will be of use to you.
Listening: you tend to grasp something when you listen to it consistently. The more you listen the more you become familiar with the Spanish language. You can learn how to create sentences, how to pronounce words by listening to people who actually know the Spanish language. You can also listen to some entertaining things in Spanish. You now need to work extra by not listening to songs in your native language but whatever you listen to while travelling should also be in Spanish. So basically you’re supposed to have Spanish all around you.
Start small: do not try to jump to larger things at the start. Master your basics well. Make use of the apps that you have gathered and the websites and learn about the language properly. The basic vocabulary that is required for use every day should be very well known to you. You should be able to speak small phrases with the correct pronunciation. Once you are done with this much part it may look small but it is a very big achievement. After this, you need to jump a step higher by being able to create your own sentences. Now for that, there will be a number of tips that you would need to follow.
Communicate: you will not be able to learn unless and until you start communicating. Even if you do not know how to speak the language and sometimes you do not know which words to use, you still have to speak. There are two benefits of this. One is that you come to know where you are lacking and the other will start when you get to learn. When you communicate you are actually listening to the other person and you are able to learn from them. So anyway it is a win-win situation.
Speak to yourself: it definitely sounds weird but it is a very very important tip that you need to follow in order to learn to speak Spanish fluently. You will be able to get a grip on the language only when you keep on speaking it. Now you cannot always have somebody to speak to you. So you need to start talking to yourself. This will build up your confidence and you will have a lot of practice which will benefit you in a way that you will master the vocabulary, the grammar, the phrases and short sentences. For those when you keep on doing this you will be able to create sentences on your own.
Build a community: now you must have reached a stage where you are able to speak Spanish. Now the thing that remains is being able to speak fluently. You can either talk to a friend or in a community where you all can engage with each other and become fluent at Spanish. It is a fun and interactive way to improve your Spanish speaking skills.
Seek the help of an expert: what is better than somebody who trains you, guides you and motivates you to learn Spanish. Somebody who can correct you when you are speaking somebody with whom you can discuss where you are going wrong and seek proper help. Training is actually the best way to learn the language and understand it better.
