Introduction:
The thought of learning a language is always exciting. But you need to keep in mind a lot of things that will add benefit to your endeavor. For example, you need to clarify your plan and ask yourself ”why are you planning to learn that language as a second language?”, “Is that you are planning for a job opportunity inside your country or in a foreign country?” “ Are you planning to go for study in that particular region that speaks that language?” or simply is it your curiosity?
By simply identifying that particular reason your chances of mastering that language will be pretty much high.
Let’s find out how did i study or learn a second language,
Things to know
Firstly, before joining a language course what you need to understand is the demand in the market of that particular language that you are planning to take as a second language. If you are planning to learn a well-known language, say for example English- you can apply for an MNC job, teach in a private institute as a spoken teacher or trainer, can take IELTS or TOFEL or PTE exam, and go study in an English speaking country or you can go for better job opportunities. Not only these but there are also abundant resources and job opportunities during your learning process and after the compilation of your courses. The resources that are available in the educational market are directly proportional to the opportunities that are available on the career market. Having said this, you need to be careful while searching the institute. You can join the classes provided by Multibhashi that not only offers you to learn foreign languages but the vernacular language of India. It gives me great help while learning a second language.
Secondly, after learning or during learning a language, the schedule for the learner is very hectic. You need constant practice while learning a language. Even if you study the language for a long period of time, I mean for a long period of time, if you do not practice regularly you won’t be able to get that desired result. So, practice as you learn. There are many ways to practice what you learn, there are many good apps that you can practice level by level, Learn Languages Live – Multibhashi – Apps on Google Play. And nowadays you can get many tutorials that you can watch on video streaming platforms like Youtube for almost any possible language. Personally, for me, it was very helpful by watching videos.
Lastly, the parameter of learning a language, that is writing, reading, listening, and speaking is very important to excel. But it is very difficult and important to be an excellent speaker of that language to excel in the speaking part of the language. This may be an individual idea but this part is very hard to learn. Not only the theory but you need to follow the pronunciation as well as the grammar and on top of this, you need confidence while speaking the language.
So, these are the few steps that I follow while learning a second language. You can take references from my experience and check them out for yourself.
Learning is fun and exciting, yes it will take time but the ride is like riding a bicycle. It will take time and you need to go slowly and carefully by learning each and every step. Enjoy your ride!
