Sanskrit is an ancient language that is used across India and the surrounding regions, nowadays very few people speak the language in their native regions. Still, there are a few job opportunities for people who are able to speak and understand the language, although many people do not know Sanskrit.

1. Technical Writer

Technical writers are responsible for writing technical articles, instruction manuals, and guides. These include user manuals for electronic equipment with the furniture or devices which will require home assembly.

As only a few speak Sanskrit, technical writers are in high demand to write these technical documents. To become a technical writer, you require a college degree in a field like communications or journalism, and also a degree in computer science and technology may be an added advantage along with that field.

 2. Customer Service Representative

Customer service representatives (CSR) are responsible for field calls from customers, processing orders, and will be answering questions for business purposes. They require the help of a customer to solve a problem or handle a complaint. 

As some of the customers will speak Sanskrit, the representatives who are able to speak Sanskrit would be extremely helpful for handling those customers. To become a Customer service representative, you require a high school diploma and training on the job.

3.  Interpreter or translators

Interpreters or translators should be fluent in at least two or more languages. Interpreters will convert from one language to another language, who works with spoken languages. Anthropologists learn about different cultures, languages, and people groups around the world. Anthropologists analyze artifacts and documents to gain knowledge of the past. If the anthropologist working speaks or spoke Sanskrit, then the language would be helpful in their analysis process. 

The manuscripts or artifacts that contain Sanskrit will be easy to understand when they learn it. To become a Anthropologists you require a master’s or Ph.D. degree in anthropology.

5. Postsecondary Teacher

Postsecondary teachers work in colleges, universities, and other higher institutions. They will be specialized in a particular topic or field. Few of the universities will offer courses in Sanskrit for students studying these languages, so a Sanskrit professor is necessary. To become a postsecondary teacher, you require a master’s degree in a field related to the subject you want to teach.
