The Gujarati language belongs to the group of Indo Aryan languages and it is spoken by more than 46 million people. Most of them reside in the state of Gujarat in India. The development of the language is fairly complex by marking three genders, two numbers singular and plural, and three cases for nouns that are written in Devanagari script.

Level 1
This is aimed at a wide range of students with a general interest in Gujarati, no prior knowledge of Gujarati is required as this is for complete beginners. This is the entry-level for the breakthrough level of the Asset Languages qualifications
At this level, you will be able to understand general and detailed information to communicate in standard speech on a range of everyday problems. You can read the printed and handwritten script on a limited number of everyday topics, write simple texts using descriptive language accurately and have developed intercultural competence in Gujarati language. There are 3 parts in this level. Ideally, students should have completed 45 hours to reach the next level of learning.
Part 1
At this level, you will have 15 hours of duration class in Gujarati who are at beginner level and have no prior knowledge of the language
Part 2
At this level, you will have 15 hours of duration class in Gujarati who have completed part 1 level
Part 3
At this level, you will have 30 hours of duration class in Gujarati who have completed part 2 level.
Level 2
This is aimed at a wide range of students with a communicative approach. All four skills speaking, reading, listening and writing are practised, with the main component as speaking. You will be engaged to participate in group or in pair work according to a syllabus that is based on systematic grammatical progression. You will also be offered guidance if you are doing self-study and also given optional homework tasks. You will also have access to an e-learning platform.
There are 3 parts in this level where they have certain conditions to reach the next level.
Part 1
At this level, you will have 15 hours of duration class in Gujarati Level 1 course with the MLC or the GCSE equivalent.
Part 2
At this level, you will have 15 hours of duration class in Gujarati who have completed a part 1 with the MLC or the GCSE equivalent.
Part 3
At this level, you will have 15 hours of duration class in Gujarati who have completed a part 2 with the MLC or the GCSE equivalent
