Levels of Telugu Language
Level-0 Telugu Language
This level is meant for kids of at least 5 years old and who had no formal prior introduction to Telugu language. In this level they will be taken through basic sounds of the language, writing alphabets at a slower speed than in Level-1. They will learn a lot of Telugu rhymes, words, and basic vocabulary.
The vocabulary of Telugu, especially in Telangana, has borrowings from Persian–Arabic language and that have been modified to fit Telugu phonology. This was due to centuries of rule in these regions, such as Golkonda and Hyderabad. Modern Telugu vocabulary constitutes the formal, standardised version of the language either in Sanskrit or heavily influenced by Sanskrit that are taught in schools, and used by the government and Hindu religious institutions. However, everyday Telugu varies depending upon the regions.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of this course, the learning outcome for kids will be ready to learn the Telugu language at normal pace. If they satisfy these conditions then the kids will be promoted to Level-1.
Level 1 Telugu Language
This level is meant for kids of at least 6 years old and are expected to pass this Level-0. Students of this level will have the basic sound recognition of Telugu, have knowledge in basic Telugu vocabulary, acquire primitive Telugu language skills, they will be able to read and write a handful of Telugu alphabets
Then they will be taken through the sounds of language, writing the alphabets at a regular place, and will learn enough vocabulary to strike the conversation in Telugu.
Vowels in Telugu language are in contrast with length, there are also short and long versions of all vowels, which occurs as long. Native Telugu words have Long vowels that can occur in any place within the word, but not at the end in a long vowel. Short vowels occur in all positions of a word which does not occur word-finally. The vowels of Telugu are easy when understood along with the Telugu script and romanization.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of this course the learning outcome for kids will be ready with reading Telugu, writing basic words in Telugu, and speaking reasonably in Telugu with simple sentences. If they satisfy these conditions then the kids will be promoted to Level-2.
