There are multiple different languages in the world that are extremely beneficial and advantageous and therefore are very popular.

With that said, not all languages are the easiest ones to master. When it comes to learning a language, an individual always opts for such a language which is bound to be beneficial for them in the future, to improve their career prospects as well as the job opportunities and make it much easier for them to sustain in the competitive international market. Therefore, when it comes to deciding on the language, an individual always opens such a language that is extremely popular as well as beneficial.

As previously mentioned, there is a multiplicity of languages that are extremely beneficial and advantageous in nature.

And an individual is bound to opt for such a language which will obviously increase the job or career prospects in the future. Furthermore, there are many other factors that contribute to choosing a specific language to master. With that said, certain individuals can master more than two languages. Additionally, deciding which language to master before the other also becomes extremely important as a certain language makes it easier to master another language. In this blog, we will learn whether you should master Portuguese or French first.

According to CEFR, both French, as well as Portuguese, are the easiest languages to master for any English native speaker.

With that said, it is important to analyse which language out of these two is the easiest to master. Essentially, masking even a single one of these languages makes it easy to master the next language as both of them are Romance languages. Therefore mastering the specific Romance language makes it easier to master the rest of the Romance languages including Italian, Romanian, Spanish, etc.

As per CEFR, French is by far the closest to English. Making French the easiest language to master for any English native speaker.

Therefore if you are an English native speaker, in my personal opinion, French will automatically be easy. On the other hand, if you need to please speak one of the East Asian languages like Mandarin, Japanese or even Korean for that matter, it is possible that you have been taught English and therefore have at least achieved a decent level of fluency in the same. Even in such a case, I definitely suggest mastering French first, simply because trying to learn Portuguese in such a case will become a very difficult task.

 There is no doubt that both languages are extremely beneficial and I’m bound to increase your career as well as job prospects in the future. For the more there is no question in regards to their popularity and global reach either. Both of them are equally popular and are equally demanded by different industries and countries. With that said, in my personal opinion it is always better to learn French as it is the closest to English and makes it much easier for any individual to learn other romance languages including Portuguese.
