Why are high school French classes so terrible?

The language learning programs in high school are highly unsuccessful. High school French classes can be an extended time for students, with more classes, harder assignments, and higher expectations. This can make many students frustrated with high school learning, which deals with the high school transition.

These are many reasons to find it difficult to learn French in high school. High school classes are not very intensive. These classes meet only once a week. They used to conduct double lessons for each day and cover the French courses very soon. They are also not individualised, the teacher is employed to help all 20+ students to learn French. 

If somebody in the class needs additional information that you would not have needed, then you are essentially wasting time, and for this reason, self-study is better as you can work at your own place. These courses are not well made. There is no native influence or immersion learning process in these French high schools. AlthoughFrench teachers come from France, there was no immersion in the language. WIthout immersion you will not be able to watch any French TV, listen to any French movies or even you will not attempt to communicate in French. There is also only a Little focus on speaking. Even after studying the language for a long time in school, many people struggle with speaking a language, 4-year university graduates are also having this problem.

High school students use memorising the Words Endlessly, which is a useless process in learning French. Also, one problem is that constant repetition of conjugation tables and vocabulary lists will be an inferior method to alternative approaches. Language learning classes should focus on production, rather than retention of information. Memorising the Words endlessly is very useful only for subjects like maths, but this approach will not make you speak a foreign language is a rapid process. 

These French high schools will not find a way to make students take more responsibility for their own learning, and will not make teachers more like language coaches rather than language teachers. Many students will also find it terrible by the hours of homework they bring home after spending a full day in class. This will lead to frustration by spending more time on schoolwork at home.

High school for all the languages has its own difficulty in the learning process. Taking part in extracurriculars in high school is a great way to make college applications stand out.
