A LAVA –like eruption: 3rd such incident reported this year in Tripura, the State is close to Chittagong in Bangladesh. A volcanic inflammable liquid has been coming out of the ground in the lower portion of an electric pole on the roadside. The incident was reported to the fire extinguishing team and local police.

The fighters rushed to the spot but failed to stop the ongoing eruption that had already burned the spot. Tripura state government is concerned as this place is highly vulnerable to earthquakes as it lies in seismic zone V. Scientists from the Department of Science, after analysing the samples concluded that the fire, smoke and other materials running out of the ground is due to a fault line that passes through that area.
