How to teach yourself how to dance?
Dance is a performing art form that consists of improvised or pre-planned movement sequences. This movement is both aesthetic and often symbolic in nature. Dance can be classified and described based on its choreography, movement repertoire, or historical period or location of origin.
If you are going to teach yourself to dance, you need to be completely dedicated to it. If you only have a passing interest in it, you will be average at best. You must be truly passionate about what you are doing or you will fail.

One, hold yourself accountable.
Request someone to supervise you while you learn. Dance in front of your parents, friends, or partner, to know their opinions and feedback.
Two, be open to criticism.
You’re going to be terrible, to begin with. You may even be laughed at when you start. But you need to steady yourself and keep working towards your goals. Take the criticism creatively and make it your reason to improve.
Three, practise self-discipline.
There will be routines and moves that you won’t be able to perform when you start; and certain others will require practise, which can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks or months. Until then you must be patient and diligent. It’s the only way to get past it.
Four, make certain you’re using the proper style.
Simply put, don’t do a style you’re not interested in just because you think you should. Learn the one that makes you happy.
This is the most crucial. Practise as much as possible. Don’t try and skip this step. It would prove to be one costly mistake!
Sixth, begin with online choreography.

Seven, practise freestyle.
Freestyle is often overlooked, especially in more classical styles (Lyrical, Ballet, Ballroom), but it is crucial. It broadens your skill set’s horizon. It relates to what you are truly capable of. Simply do what your body tells you to do. You may find out that you have the ability to do something you couldn’t before.
Eighth, record yourself and use a mirror.
You should keep a close eye on yourself on a regular basis. Make a note of what went wrong, what went right, and what can be improved. Mirrors are also the best way to accomplish this. If you can’t get to a studio, get a mirror and practise in front of it.
