In India, the Philippines, Singapore, and in many countries in sub-Saharan Africa, including South Africa, English is one of the official languages. It is the most highly sought after foreign language to learn for those who are not acquainted with it.
If one is already acquainted with English, but, which do you think are the easiest languages for one to learn quickly and speak fluently?
Well, there is no hard and fast rule as to which should be the easiest language to learn for an English speaker, but the connoisseurs of many languages are of the opinion that Spanish is the easiest language to learn for an English language speaker. It is because, vocabularies of both the languages match to a great extent. There are many words, phrases, which are similar. Even pronunciations are closer as compared to the proximity of English with other languages belonging to the same class or family.
