Determiners – निर्धारक

शब्द जैसे my, the, some, this, each, and आदि. को आमतौर पर Determiners कहा जाता है।
इन शब्दो को Nouns के पहले उपयोग किया जाता है।
Determiners के प्रकार:-

1) Possessives: my, your, his, our, its, their.
2) Quantifiers: a few, fewer, much, more, some, most, many etc.
3) Articles: a, an, the.
4) Numbers: one, two, three.
5) Demonstratives: that, these, those, this.

 निचे दिए गए डिटर्मिनर्स हम साधारण तौरपर इस्तेमाल करते है ।

कई बार ऐसा होता है जब कोई डिटर्मिनर्स को Noun से पहले उपयोग नहीं करते है। उसे zero determiners कहते है।
उदाहरण: Cats love milk.

निर्धारक का उद्देश्य या प्रयोजन क्या है ?

इसके दो प्रकार के उद्देश्य या प्रयोजन है: 1) Referring Determiners और 2) Quantifying Determiners

Referring Determiners:

ये हमे ‘क्या’ और ‘किस’ बारे में बात कर रहे है यह बताता है। आम तौरपर हम Possessives, articles, and demonstratives को Referring Determiners के रूप में इस्तेमाल करते है।

उदाहरण:  A: Where is the magazine?

B: It’s on the table.

यहां ‘the’ Noun से पहले आया है, जो की speaker और listener दोनों को ही पता है।

Quantifying determiners:

यह ‘थोड़ा’, ‘ज़्यादा’, ‘कितना’ या ‘कितना कुछ’ के बारे में बताता है । याने मनो संख्या या मात्रा के बारे में बताता है ।

उदाहरण: Four people were killed in the accident.

There are some chocolates here for you.

यहां ‘Four’ , ‘some’   संख्या या मात्रा को बताता है।

अगर अंग्रेजी में अच्छे से वार्तालाप करना चाहते हैं, तो शायद आप निर्धारक को सीखने की ज़रूरत समझ गए होंगे इन उदाहरणों के द्वारा । ये ऐसे कुछ है की हम इसका उपयोग हर दिन जानते हुए या न जानते हुए करते है। तो यह बहुत जानना ज़रूरी है की हम डिटर्मिनर्स का उपयोग कहा करेंगे । डिटर्मिनर्स का सही उपयोग हम तभी ही कर सकते है, जब हम अंग्रेजी बोलने की प्रयत्न करे ।
