Train 18, becomes India’s fastest train officially. Curising at 180kmph. The announcement was tweeted by Piyush Goyal-Minister of Railways. The train is fully air-conditioned and can accommodate 1128 passengers. Train 18 has aerodynamically designed driver cabins at both sides to enable it for quicker turnaround time.

Train 18 presently runs on 6 routes: New Delhi-Varanasi, Habibganj-New Delhi, New Delhi-Kalka, New Delhi to Amritsar and Ahmedabad to Mumbai. Train 18 is also capable of touching he top speed of 200kmph if the tracks and support systems are upgraded.
