Uttering Talaq thrice is a punishable offence the bill was passed by Lok Sabha after a 5 hour debate and a walkout by Congress and AIADMK. The bill should not be seen through the Prism of politics but of humanity says Ravi Shankar Prasad Law Minister.
The instant triple talaq will be a “non-bail able” offence. The police cannot grant bail at the police station. The accused can approach magistrate for bail even before the trial.
