Italian language or lingua Italiana is a Romance language of the Indo-European language family. Italian is, by most measures and together with Sardinian, the closest language to Latin, from which it descends via Vulgar Latin. 1.Dive into the language soup.

The first and basic step to improve your Italian is to dive into the language.

Listen to the Italian radio, watch the television, listen to adverts on public transport, and read everything in sight. This will help you a lot. 

2. Conversation with Italian speakers.

Daily conversation with an Italian speaker helps you to improve your Italian accent. The way they talk to you is the time for you to learn from them. Having a daily conversation with Native Italian speaker helps you to improve your Italian.

3.Watch shopping channels, news and weather forecasts.

Shopping shows use repetition to hammer the point home, so are great for picking up the language. Plus, as they are demonstrating the product, you have visual prompts. The news is about specific subjects that you may already be aware of, and the weather forecast again uses a lot of repetitive languages and has strong visual aids.

So, watching these will help you to improve your language skills.

4. Listen to Italian music.

You can listen to Italian music online and offline. Using radio Italia FM radio is great as it tends to play Italian songs which will help you in understanding the language.

5. Watch films in English, with subtitles in Italian.

This is the opposite of what most people do, but in fact the brain takes in information better when it is in a passive state. Listening in your native tongue takes little effort and your brain is able to read the subtitles and make the links between what it sees and hears.
