What can I do everyday to improve my Arabic skills?
In general, Arabic is regarded as one of the world’s six most important languages. Islam uses Arabic extensively as the language of its sacred book, the Qur’an, and as such, it is widely spoken throughout the It is a member of the Semitic language family, which includes Hebrew and Amharic, Ethiopia’s official language.
Although Arabic is notoriously infamous for being one of the toughest languages to master for any English native speaker, when we consider improving the skills of a language there is no need for the distinction in the language.
This means that the way you improve your speaking, writing, reading and listening skills in French is essentially the same way you’d improve your Arabic speaking, writing, reading and listening skills. Therefore, if you are already bilingual then improving your skills in the Arabic language will not be that big of a deal. On the other hand, if this is the first ever second-language you’ve chosen to learn then you should buckle up because the road ahead is pretty rocky. When we consider all the skills that need to be improved when learning a language, the number one priority is to set appropriate and sensible goals. Especially when that language is as tough as Arabic.
Setting of goals is of extreme importance and hence must never be neglected. You need to 1st figure out what is your idea of fluency and what level of fluency do you plan on achieving and in what time period. Secondly, you also need to take into consideration the amount of time and effort that you can contribute to learning and improving all the skills on a daily basis. The reason why setting of appropriate goals is of such importance is because goals are not just evaluators but instead they help motivate you when you feel like giving up. Moving on to the actual skills. Starting with the listening skills, in order to improve this you must simply listen very carefully and concentrate on the pronunciation and the vocabulary used along with the grammar and the sentence formation. In order to excel in this aspect, you can maintain a journal wherein you can note down all of the important points that you happen to come across while listening to others speak in Arabic.
Moving on to the speaking skills, this is a pretty practical skill to practice. In order to improve this skill, you must implement the skill. In order to get better at speaking Arabic you must simply speak Arabic with either yourself or with other Arabic students or if you have the courage with Arabic native speakers. Next up, we have reading. This is probably one of the easiest skills to practise and master. All you have to do is pick up any Arabic literature, by any author, belonging to any time period and simply read it. You can read it in your free time or you can actually dedicate a specific amount of time per day to read the specific Arabic literature. Finally, we approach the writing skills. Considered to be by far, the toughest skill to master out of all the four skills of every language, writing skills really do put up a challenge for every student. Do not be afraid as it is not impossible to master this skill, with a little bit of practice, and an immense amount of dedication, you too can master writing skills of Arabic like many others. I suggest once you finish reading a specific literature in Arabic you simply write it down separately. Similar to reading, this skill simply requires a lot of practice to improve on a daily basis.
Finally,
Despite the fact that the Arabic script as we know it now looks to be very unique from other alphabets like as Latin, Greek Phoenician, Aramaic, and Nabatian, Arabic script is also used in other languages such as Persian, Urdu and Malay. Arabic is spoken by a huge demographic of the entire population. If you too want to learn Arabic, Click Here.
