When we consider learning a new language, we always ponder upon the ways of learning that language. Obviously, there exist a million ways of learning a language but how do we know which ones are the best? We have to make sure that the method we opt for isn’t just effective but also keeps you engrossed. Taking into consideration all these factors we also must choose an option that wouldn’t be too money or time-consuming. I too faced such issues while considering learning Spanish. So I am sure I can certainly help you figure out the most effective way for you to learn Spanish.
Let’s start off by understanding the circumstances that might affect your pace or method of learning. Do you have a busy work or study schedule? Do you travel a lot? Do you barely get time to learn Spanish? Are you learning any other languages along with Spanish? Once you’ve noted down all your hindrances, you can start to really figure where you stand. Now that you know your starting point, choose a learning option that would benefit you the most.
There are three options that I consider to be the most effective, These would be:
Online Classes
One of the most effective ways of learning Spanish is to opt for professional classes that follow the CEFRL protocol. These classes would also help you constantly evaluate your language proficiency. Although these can get tricky if you have a tight work schedule or have other more important things to do but by opting for online classes, you get a certified trainers and live sessions which would help you clear any sort of doubts or problems right then and there. You would also have the access to old and new course content and can evaluate yourself through tests and quizzes.
What else?
Language learning apps
There are many language learning apps that provide Spanish. This is a good option if you have an extremely tight schedule as you can set specific goals and reminders, take up tests and finish the course at your own pace, all while being provided with the content to study, quizzes and flashcards. The main drawback here is that there is no constant checking and no feedbacks from professionals. It all depends on your own learning speed and grasping abilities.
Of all these available online, there exists a beautiful, thorough, pocket-friendly app called Multibhashi, recognised as the only language learning platform, of 100 Ed-tech companies in Asia, by Holoniq!
Finally, whether it's self learning or classroom learning, this is a MUST!
Self-Learning
This is yet another method of learning Spanish specifically meant for those, who either don’t want to make any financial investments or have an extremely busy schedule where they barely get an hour to dedicate to this language. While I personally don’t suggest this, it is still one of the best options out there. Since you aren’t provided with course content or trainer guidance nor can you evaluate your position through tests, you are completely independent. You have to rely on books, movies, audios and music. Moreover, you need to get into the habit of speaking the language on a daily basis and excel at it through a trial-and-error method.
