United States of America
English speakers are mostly the natives of this most developed nation and the world’s super power state. Here’s is a surprise – despite its status, the USA as a federation does not have an official language! China
Although it is one of the largest economies, China has maintained fewer linguistic intrusions. The majority of China’s population speaks Mandarin Chinese and its dialects. It is just over 8% of the population that speaks languages like Tibetan, Mongolian, Zhuang, and Uyghur. Being the most populous country China adds strength to the number of Mandarin speakers at home alone. Therefore, Putonghua, the standard version of Chinese is the national official language. Other major languages of the world are spoken by small sections of people in China.

Russia
Russia has continued to not only use but maintain the education of its future generations mostly in the Russian language, hence, most of the population speaks Russian. However, regional languages like Chechen, Chuvash, Tatar, Abaza, Bashkir, Erzya etc are all recognised as the official state languages. The bottom line is that most of the officially recognised languages in Russia do not have much commonality with each other.

Japan
Japanese is the main language spoken in Japan and it is estimated that over 120 million people across the world speak the language. It is the official language of the country. Though it seems to be very unique in its structure and origin, Japanese is said to have some similarity to the Korean language. Meanwhile, Japan has a few more languages spoken on different islands. It is said that some 14 Ryukyuan languages are spoken on some of the islands in Japan however they are not really similar to the main language Japanese.

German is the official language in Germany and most of the people there only speak in their native language. Australia
English is the main language spoken in this big island continent-nation. However, there are several languages that have quietly moved into the population with the migrating people to this country. Languages like Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Vietnamese, Greek, Hindi, Italian, etc are also spoken in Australia.
Brazil
You would be surprised to know this but Portuguese is the main language spoken in Brazil! South Africa
