Zertifikat deutsch (ZD)
this test will ascertain your competency in speaking German. This exam is conducted at six centers Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune by Goethe-institut, Goethe-Zentrum. The exams are held 5 to 6 times a year. The fee is between Rs 6,000 to 11,000.

This is a computer-based online German test that evaluates your listening and reading competence. The results are available immediately.

TestDaf Exam
If you want to study in a university where the medium of communication is German you will have to pass one of the two German fluency exams- TestDAF or DSH. All German universities recognize the TestDAF and DSH certificates. The certificates you obtain from TestDAF are valid forever. TestDAF assesses the four language skills separately (listening, reading, comprehension, written production, Oral production). It is offered six times a year in around 450 centers in 90 countries worldwide.

It handles German tests for different skill levels across Austria and evaluates ability. It refunds up to 50% of the German course fee on successfully completing the A2/A3 test.

OSD
It is an examination approved by the Austrian federal ministry for foreign affairs, education, science, and cultural affairs. There are 200 test centers in Austria and 200 in other countries. In India, there are two OSD centers in Chandigarh and Bangalore.
